Tree Root Removal
Tree root removal can be handled various ways depending on the size and type of tree. The type of tree will determine the way the roots should be removed. For shallow rooted trees digging by hand to expose the roots can be a simple removal technique.
However, more often than not trees are deeply rooted underground and machinery is necessary for removal. Chemical removal, stump grinding, and backhoes can be used as means for removal. Chemical removal will rot a tree stump. The process involves drilling holes into the stump and adding a chemical. The method will speed up decomposition time, but it will take a period of time to break down.
Stump grinding is a machine that chews up stumps that are between 6 to 12 inches below the ground. Backhoes are used on stumps that are in planting areas. The stumps are removed by pulling them with the backhoe.
